A striking metal sculpture of an Australian wedge tail eagle on its nest, Nest III is made from welded steel found-objects, mostly abandoned farm machinery.
With commanding views across Canberra, Nest III at Dairy Farmers Hill, sits atop of boulders that represent a rocky outcrop, Nest III. It is recognised as one of the iconic sculpture of Canberra.
Richard Moffatt has a studio on the NSW South coast of Australia.
Nest III was gifted to the ACT Public Art Collection by ActewAGL.
